LOVE IS IN THE AIR
June 11 Saturday 2005

It’s great being back in Hong Kong. Having been away for a year, I kinda feel like I’ve been missing out; what with the opening of The Vine Centre and such. But what’s really struck me (or should I say struck Hong Kong) is the number of my friends who have hooked-up. Since I’ve been in the UK, at least four couples have got engaged, two have got married and around half-a-dozen have started courting.

This wonderful state of affairs has got me thinking about marriage quite a bit. As natural as it seems to pour out my thoughts on the subject, I shall resist. I’ve only just moved to Hong Kong and embarked on a new stage of my life; spending too much time dwelling on marriage/relationships could become unproductive when I have other things I need to concentrate on, no matter how “topical’ it may seem right now.

That said, I’ve just returned from Derek’s Stag-night. Details withheld: a bunch of us went on a paintball extravaganza and then traveled across Hong Kong in an open-top tram. It was during this trip that Derek sported exquisite little panties and assorted negligee, and with much “persuasion” paraded himself in and around Hong Kong - whilst his closest friends laughed and pointed at him from the safety of the tram, concluding in a rowdy karaoke session in Causeway Bay.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos to share because they are simply too scandalous to publish! But here are two funky photos that somehow found their way onto my laptop that are from Janice’s Hen-Night (which at one brief point overlapped with the stag-night as our tram sped past them with Derek in hot-pursuit).
