PUT A NEW SONG IN MY HEART
March 05 Sunday 2006

“Sweet Dark”, I like that name. Although not strictly an oxymoron, its title has got the same kind of feel as some of the albums in my collection, namely: “Definitely Maybe” by Oasis and “Quiet is the New Loud” by Kings of Convenience. But then again, perhaps it doesn’t, and I’m simply over complicating what was meant to be a simple plug for Alison Lau's new songs, which you can download below:

I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Alison play a couple of times, most recently in the lounge at One_Eighty. There’s something really special about watching an artist perform his or her own songs live. And that's why I really want to finish writing my own before I play in the lounge again... there's only so many ways you can play Wonderwall!

In other news, the Worship '06 Seminar at The Vine has just kicked off with Andy Piercy on "The basics of worship leading". Andy has worked with and produced albums for the likes of Delirious and Matt Redman and is a worship co-ordinator at Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London (home of the Alpha Course).

I was given the wonderful priviledge of serving alongside Andy at the evening service. It was a really good experience, and I learnt so much in such a short time. I'm already looking forward to hearing Tom Read and Planetshakers share in the coming weeks. If you want tickets for the Planet Shakers concert call (+852) 25730793 or email info@thevine.org.hk, Don't miss out!
