A SCRUMPTIOUS WEEKEND
April 02 Sunday 2006

My cup overflows… literally. Several of my course mates (Tim, Anthony, Joyce, Jess, KK and Liz) treated me to an amazing buffet lunch at the Shangri-la, which they’d won at a charity fund-raiser a few months back. I haven’t eaten this much or this well in a while. It was magnificent. I feel compelled to put some photos up, God is good.

"God Is Good" is also the name of a song I recorded a few weeks ago (read about it here). It will hopefully be making its way onto The Vine’s live worship album in the next few weeks. I’ve put an acoustic version of it online, which you can listen to by clicking on the link below, although be warned that the final version will be very different:

As much as I could continue raving on about how good the buffet lunch was, the “scrum” in scrumptious is actually a reference to Hong Kong’s biggest and best annual sporting event: The IRB World Cup Rugby Sevens. Tickets are like gold-dust to come by, and I was resigned to missing out in much the same way I wasn't expecting to see Oasis last month, but did.

Once again, God has poured out His favour. My buddy Nate managed to score some tickets for the final and ultimate day of the competiton, and he got one for me. How cool is that? - I'm truly blessed to have such awesome friends. What a scrumptious weekend indeed.

"They will celebrate Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness" - Psalm 145: 6-7.
