WE'RE COLOURED PEOPLE
August 07 Monday 2006

I love Hong Kong. It’s such a diverse city and is a melting pot of different ethnic groups and races. I only have to look around my church to see people from all over the world, coming together to worship in one spirit – it’s great.

I also love the fact that you can’t always tell where someone is from, let alone what their background is, simply from the way that they look. I’ve been called Japanese, Vietnamese, Singaporean, even mixed, when in fact, as far as I’m aware, I’m fully Chinese.

So for a bit of fun (and it is only fun) I ran a particularly “chinese-looking” photo of myself through a facial converter, and came up with this - eat your heart out Benetton.
