BIG COUSIN SURPRISE!

My father really likes to cook, and when he blindfolds me, it's usually to try out a new recipe or to give me a mouthful of one of my favourite dishes. So when we were preparing for a barbecue the other day, I quite happily allowed my dad to blindfold me, expecting nothing more than some freshly cooked meat off the grill.

Now I can’t remember if I’d already opened my mouth in anticipation or not, but it certainly flew open in surprise when, instead of receiving some food, I got two big kisses planted on my cheeks instead! It all happened rather quickly, but I distinctly remember wondering to myself if Denise Richards and Michelle Pfeiffer had decided to drop by for lunch (don't ask me why, it has something to do with a really weird dream I had last week).

Dreams aside, I couldn't believe it when I removed my blindfold and saw Fiona and Sara standing on the patio like a pair of Cheshire cats - talk about a double-take! I knew my Uncle Dave, Auntie Agnes, Uncle Stefan and Auntie Rosalie were coming over, but I had no idea that my cousins were going to be there too. What an awesome surprise. In fact, it was only the previous day that I told my dad how sad I was about not seeing them. What absolute stars - I'm so happy right now.
