WATCHING THE SUN GO DOWN
September 12 Tuesday 2006

Here’s the official e-flyer and probable cover of The Vine's upcoming live album. I think it looks great. It also reminds me of some of the photos I've taken down at the beach, in particular the sunsets.

I don't mean to sound over spiritual or anything, but the artwork really does speak to me, and it's this: that I have to let the sun go down on my own life before I’m able to ascend the hill of the Lord.

Now that may sound a bit "obvious", even cliché, but it couldn't have come at a better time. I'm flying out to Hong Kong tomorrow, and it really is going to be a fresh start. I don't know all the things that God has in store for me, what hills he wants me to climb, but I know this: that my dreams, hopes & aspirations are now in His hands; and that everything is going to work together for His glory.

The past three weeks have been wonderful. I've spent quality time with my Dad and stepmother, and been embraced by a wonderful church here called New Life. I'm grateful for the guitar they gave me and the opportunity I've had to share and receive... I'm going to miss this place.
