PARTY OF FIVE (MINUS TWO) Two of the other interns arrived a couple of days ago, Andy from Australia and John from Malaysia. We’ve been moved into a new hotel in Earl’s Court that’s just two Tube stops away from HTB. We have everything we need around us: restaurants, supermarkets, post-office, banks, shops – it’s a brilliant location. Accommodation wise, we're sharing a room (with two more interns joining us in due course). It's a pretty old building, so the entire floor has to share facilities. Thankfully we have our own sink, and we've been blessed with a television set that has a funky retro-vibe about it. I'm so excited about living in London - it's something I've always longed to do, but never had the opportunity, until now. And it's really good being able to share this experience with the other interns - it's going to be so much fun. The first couple of nights were pretty rough though, due to a number of street fights outside our hotel. They ended up getting pretty nasty; and the noise made it really difficult to relax, let alone sleep. Thankfully the fighting has subsided in recent days, and this place is beginning to feel like home. |
