SOMETHING TO GET YOUR TEETH INTO
October 09 Tuesday 2007

Tuesdays are fast becoming my favourite day at HTB. The morning kicks off at 7:00am (which means rising at 6:00am) with dynamic prayer in the church building, followed by staff breakfast. Around 125 people turn up, which means copious amounts of tea, coffee, donuts, croissants, yoghurts, fruit and juice.

I’d fallen into the unhealthy habit of skipping breakfast in Hong Kong, so this is a very welcome change. Of course, I’m making a conscious effort not to negate the benefits of a morning meal, by eating too much. A hard balance to strike it seems, especially when everything tastes so good.

The actual staff meeting follows shortly after, and is a time for fellowship and sharing. It really is a great way to start the week. All the different ministries feed back, and it provides a real sense of belonging. I shan’t go into any detail, but God is doing amazing stuff at HTB, Alpha and in London. I’ll be sorry to go next month, not least because of the top-notch breakfast!
